Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease that mostly affects the lungs and affects body parts like the spine, brain, or kidneys. The infection does not cause illness in anyone. If you do get sick you should seek treatment.

What are the symptoms for tuberculosis (TB)?

Causes

Tuberculosis Prevention

To stop the spread of Tuberculosis:-

• To prevent a latent infection from spreading, make sure you take all your medications.
• Avoid contact with anyone else if you have active or suspected TB. When you laugh, cough, or sneeze it is important to cover your mouth. Wear a surgical helmet if you’re in close proximity to others during the first weeks.
• Avoid spending too much time among sick people if possible when you travel to a location where TB can be common.
